Youth: Preschool/Kindergarten

Preschool/Kindergarten

Young children are noticing more about the world around them and their place in it. They are full of curiosity and questions, and are developing the capacity to respond in a loving way to others, and to take responsibility for their own actions.

Our staff is trained in to adapt the lesson, and discussion, to the ages of the children in the classroom. Various activities are used to meet the kids at their age level, and where they are in their ability to understand the concept of our lessons. A selection of Living Curriculums will be used to invite the children to discover who they really are.

The teachers use circle time which includes a love offering, prayer sticks, and a story relating to the lesson. Then various activities are used to interact with the children through music, coloring, and crafts. Following the lesson we offer the children a healthy snack, being conscious of allergies, while continuing to discuss the lesson. The children are then able to have free play time until the end of Sunday School.

The Preschool/Kindergarten classroom is located upstairs next to the Sanctuary, and shares a room with the Nursery.
